Organizer guide - Unity League: Cyberpunk

The Unity League: Cyberpunk is an independent ranking system for Cyberpunk TCG events in Europe.

Players collect League Points to qualify for national championships.

In the following we explain how organizers can report event results and award points to their players.

Host your country's National Championship

Each participating country can host a National Championship after the league season. A local organizer runs the event, with support from the Unity League.

The Championship gives local players a season goal and a chance to qualify for the European Finals.

More about hosting Nationals

Start awarding League Points

  1. Create your organizer profile and connect your Melee.gg organization.
  2. Your events and results are automatically imported from Melee.gg every 24 hours. Events appear in our event calendar.
  3. Go to My events in the organizer menu after signing in and assign the eligible event type: Regular, District or Qualifier.

Imported events start as Other, with no League Points or organizer fees until you assign a participating event type.

Run your store league competition

Bring excitement to your weekly events with your own seasonal competition. Give players a reason to return to your store each week and stay engaged.

How it works

Good to know

€1 per player

Regular events are charged per participant.

Run Leagues in parallel

Ideally you run a separate League in each format. We recommend each format has a weekly Regular event, a separate leaderboard and it's own League Final every 15-20 weeks.

Top 4 Final for smaller Leagues

For Leagues averaging fewer than 8 players per event, we recommend a Top 4 Final instead of Top 8. You can edit your Finals event description to announce a different format.

Make the Final special

Add additional prizes, boosters, or store credit for your community.

Frequently asked questions

Events can be assigned as follows:

Event Event type
Weekly events, Night City Brawls and Prereleases Regular
Night City Showdowns District
Dedicated store events and conventions Qualifier
Night City District Opens Qualifier
Edgerunner Open Regionals Qualifier
Black Sapphire Invitational Championships Qualifier

Any deviation from these assignments requires prior approval. Please contact us before assigning a different event type.

For a Top 8 league Final, we recommend the following structure:

  • Single elimination playoff with 3 rounds.
  • Each match is best of 3.
  • Players are paired randomly right before the event starts.
  • Untimed rounds.
  • The higher ranked player on the league leaderboard chooses who plays first.

For smaller Leagues averaging fewer than 8 players per event, we recommend a Top 4 Final instead, with 2 single elimination rounds.

Organizers may also choose a different structure for their league Finals. Edit the Finals event description to announce your chosen format.

Finals invitations are offered in leaderboard order. Players must have a registered Unity League account to be eligible. If a player declines the invitation or is not registered, it passes down to the next eligible player on the leaderboard.

No. Stores, clubs, associations, and independent organizers can all participate.

Events need to be public, played with Cyberpunk TCG cards, and held in real life.

We send a combined invoice by email every few months. Organizers pay it by bank transfer or PayPal.

Unpaid invoices may also be shown as a reminder when you log in.

We recommend a separate organizer profile for each entity that regularly runs events, such as a local game store.

This keeps each store's events, leagues, and billing separate.

If you occasionally run events at different venues, those events can usually stay under the same organizer profile.

Participating events can be run in any Cyberpunk format, including formats that are not officially supported.

If your format is not listed on our website, please let us know and we will add it.

Eligible events are public, real-life tournaments played with physical Cyberpunk TCG cards.

Players must be able to participate directly or qualify through a public process.

To award points, events must meet these requirements:

  • The event must be publicly advertised.
  • The event must be held in real life, not online.
  • At least 4 players must participate and play at least one round.
  • The full standings should be reported.

You can always run events as Regular events if you only want the default multiplier.

If you are unsure whether an event is eligible, please contact us.

These are the maximum preliminary (Swiss) rounds we allow:

Events with fewer than 4 players are not allowed and cannot be reported.

33–647
65–1288

Preliminary rounds may use Swiss, round-robin, group-stage, or another format, as long as the total does not exceed the maximum above.

Running a top cut requires at least 9 players. We generally expect a single elimination Top 4 or Top 8. Exceptional formats such as double elimination may be allowed in specific cases.

We use several methods to keep the league fair:

  • Players use the same identifier on Unity League: Cyberpunk that they use in tournaments, so communities can verify who attends events.
  • Our fraud detection checks events and results for suspicious patterns.
  • We review suspicious cases manually and may ban players or organizations that try to manipulate the league.

Unity League: Cyberpunk is operated by Mana Grid GmbH and led by passionate founders Jari Rentsch and Dae-Jin Rhee. It started as a community project in Switzerland and grew from the idea that local events are more exciting when every result can be part of something bigger.

The league only works because organizers, players, and local communities keep showing up.
